Went to Romby's after I heard that it had been taken over by new owners. They've really started to clean the place up, new flooring and whole new clientele.There was 4 in our group. My boyfriend and I ordered the pulled pork nachos with jalapenos and cheese and potato skins - the best skins I've EVER eaten. Our friends had the brisket sandwich and the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich which they said was awesome. Will definitely be going back for dinner again. We ended up staying a lot longer than we planned as the band was just about to set up so we stayed and had a really great night. The bartenders are excellent. Quick and friendly service. I think the stars aligned when I went to Swiss Chalet a while back (more than a year ago). As always, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy without being stuffy or drab, and the service was quick (so quick I barely blinked and my food was there!). We had an AMAZING server who was around without hovering, and our food, as I said, was out within five minutes of ordering. This was, by far, the best service I have ever received in any restaurant. The server, in particular, was just absolutely incredible. She refiilled our water glasses when they were nearing empty, and it was like she was telepathic: she came with more napkins when things got a little bit messy! Overall, phenomenal. I wish I could remember the server's name, but it's been a while. Read more

I have been going to this restaurant from day 1 when they opened and I had never had an issue with a meal, however last night we ordered salmon and it was way too salty. I couldn't eat it and was embarrassed to complain but the owner had no issues taking the plates back and preparing from scratch with no salt at all. I know it's a difficult time for restaurants and this was just another reason I will still dine here & recommend it to everyone. They care about their customers, food & reputation. Read more
