For facial massage I recommend Magda and for massages (body, back, sports etc) Adolfo is incredible. Only negative is they tend to get booked for Fridays and Saturdays by a week before. This restaurant is such a contradiction. It has the potential to become the best restaurant in Ottawa (if not the country). All the elements are in place. Awesome, atmosphere, great staff (mostly), and good food. The only stick in the ointment is a single toxic personality in the guise of a server, who seems intent on destroying all of that and ensuring that you never come back. She's a bit older than the other servers (who are all excellent), but this is not about age. Irene's up the road seems like an older crowd of patrons and servers, but they are awesome...but I digress, this not about Irene's, I just wanted to show that the contradiction at Patty's boils down to one personality. We were a bit reluctant to visit Lago at first due to many negative reviews but since we have a gift certificate we might as well checked it out. The food was quite good but very salty. We ordered calamari for appetizer and it came to the table way too fast! But a very interesting dish ... in a good way. Main course came about the right time. I had sable fish which was quite good but salty and a bit oily. My husband ordered a rib steak. From most of the reviews we read, Lago tends to over cooked their steaks so he ordered rare. It came out med-rare, but was good. I had key lime pie for dessert. Mediocre. The service was very good, our waitress was efficient and polite. What surprise me at the end was when I asked for my dessert to go because I could only eat about 1/3 of it. I opened the box shortly after she gave to me just to make sure it was my dessert (happened before). My dessert was literally dumped into the box ... it was splattered upside down! Not sure what happened there. Overall, it was a nice restaurant, good food and good service. We would visit it again. Read more

I've only been a couple of times. It's a short walk from Rideau. They have a good collection of genres. Particularly punk, metal and such. But they do have a lot of material. A large bin at the front houses the new section where you'll find most indie bands new releases. Prices are what you would expect of vinyl, around 15-20$. I think the only thing they could possibly do to better the store is add more genres. Indie for instance holds things from Sufjan Stevens to Joanna Newsom. Pretty much anything hard to identify as a certain genre was put under indie. Whether that's really a bad thing or not is up to you. Other than that minor non-problem, it's a good record store with a large selection and normal prices. 4Stars. Read more
